Today is my 10-year wedding anniversary! You may remember I posted this D.I.Y. chandelier by Lindsey Adelman back in March. Well, I immediately put the husband to work, and he really came through for me. I love it! Paired with flowers from recent photo shoots, it makes for a very celebratory scene, doesn’t it?
My 10-year wedding anniversary is coming up, and instead of asking for diamond earrings again, this year I decided to get creative. The husband may not be the hearts and flowers type, but he is quite handy around the house (a lost art these days, don’t you think?). So I’m putting my architect to good use with a D.I.Y. chandelier by Lindsey Adelman. Her custom pieces go from $6k-$20k and up, so it’s a real treat that she would share a $130 version for us regular folk! I’m excited, and the husband’s happy he gets off the hook for another year…
Blogging later than usual because I wanted to share this little project that my daughter and I worked on last night for her birthday! Last year we made the same bags with an “animal” theme, and this year, I opted for “bugs & butterflies.” Whenever I make things like these, my friends ask me how?! I honestly make it up as I go along, but I thought I could break it down here for those interested…
Looking back at 2012, I’m amazed/humbled/honored at what a year it has been for me and this little company of mine…
This weekend I tackled a D.I.Y. for my daughter’s room, and it was SO easy, I had to share!
I searched for the idea initially on Pinterest, but then I couldn’t find any curtain panels that went with her room decor. So I decided to make my own, using a pair of $10 sheers from IKEA, some pom-pom trim from the local fabric store and a hot glue gun, for a project that cost under $40 total…
You guys know I love a good D.I.Y., especially when it’s something budget-friendly that looks like it cost a pretty penny. So I was beyond thrilled that creativity guru Eileen sent over this fall-perfect project for us to try…and just in time for the holidays! (You must also try her gold leopard tray D.I.Y. – genius!) So basically, I’m never carving another pumpkin again.
