I realize it’s mid-October, but after my month of health and computer issues, I’m ok with the fact that my fall shopping is very much still in progress. (Not to mention, it’s still 80+ degrees here!)

My sis-in-law is getting married tomorrow! And I’m matron-of-honor. I’ve been so wrapped up in shower/bachelorette/stationery that it just dawned on me: ummm, I kinda need to decide on my hairstyle for the day! I am paying a professional to style it up, so I should probably come up with something good, and different than my usual hair down, straight or beach wavy…right?
I walked into Target the other day, and spotted this blush/tropical green goodness of a dress (No. 2). Since I haven’t stopped thinking about it — and had to include it in another edition of the E list — I clearly need to go back and get it…
So I bet everyone wants to know if I got to meet my design idol, Kelly Wearstler? Well…I didn’t even make it to the party.
Sunday afternoon we took our daughter to one of her best friend’s birthday parties. And if I hadn’t been gone all weekend at a volunteer retreat (on 5 hours of sleep) I might have felt ok tearing her away from her friends. But I didn’t. Let’s just say lots of tears were shed when I finally decided I wouldn’t make it in time after all. But it was my decision. And yes, for my kid…
I’m incredibly honored that Gaby of The Vault Files asked me to participate in her beauty feature “In My Makeup Bag” today! Especially so because I will be the first to tell you, I am beauty ig-nor-ant. I think due to the fact that I have been plagued by sensitive skin, I typically skip over the beauty section in magazines. But I did happen to muster up some fun finds for Gaby, each recommended to me by others of course. And I didn’t even realize that all my blog hopping and Pinterest perusing taught me a thing or two lately!
