Could we all use some mid-week inspiration? I found mine in blog Vosgesparis, and Desiree’s black-and-white dream of a home. Parisian Chic meets Edgy Chic with a high-fashion overtone, and I’m all for it…

While I get back into the swing of things over here after the long weekend, I wanted to dedicate a post to my maternal grandmother who would have been 91 today. She passed away 10 days after my daughter was born in 2009, and I’ve missed her everyday since.

Summer is officially over for us in the U.S. come Tuesday (sob), but I’m not ready to let it go quite yet. Yesterday guest Anna showed us how to take summer brights to fall, but how about those summer whites? I’m hoping I can break with convention and break out my beloved white-wardrobe acquisitions. The solution? Incorporate one white piece into a typically fall-like outfit…

Her style is impeccable yet totally doable and livable: meet Anna of In Honor of Design, a beautifully designed and curated page with everything from fashion to home to DIY to gifts to kids stuff, but always unique and affordable. I’ve been studying how she infused a worldly sophistication into a typically comfy casual architectural style, and how she makes the small spaces appear much larger…

Celebrating tonight at our favorite wine bar, with a magnum of 1999 Chateau Montelena cab (thanks Dad!) shared with good friends. In the meantime, I’ll be obsessing over these picks…

A fellow La Dolce Vita contributor, Brendan’s style is so much like my own — brass, fur, velvet, animal hides, a little Kelly Wearstler and you’re there! BAD (Blog About Design) is all about fantastic design finds, from vintage treasures to travel destinations to wardrobe essentials that scream glamour. I’m so thrilled to introduce you to Brendan…you’ll be hooked!

I can no longer deny it: I need a rattan hanging chair. Let’s forget about the fact that I have no place to put one. Minor detail. It’s just one of those items that makes me happy, and therefore, I need to think I need one. Some of my fave appearances:
