[Guest Post] The Purple Bow // For the Love of Trellis

February 2nd, 2012

Please welcome Karlita of The Purple Bow!

Can I just tell you, Karlita is not only one of the nicest bloggers out there, but also a lifesaver for me today! Because of a miscommunication on my end, she was such a sport and threw this post together for me in a few hours! So it goes without saying she is generous and kind, but you must check out The Purple Bow to see how adorable and savvy she is!

Hi! This is Karlita from The Purple Bow, I am so happy to be here with Erika, one of the best graphic designers, interior designers (I know she isn’t but she does it as if she were) and most noble person around. So, it is a real honor to be here!

Well, back to my post… I have had some time loving all sorts of Trellis Designs found in wallpaper, fabric, desks, rugs and everywhere…the thing is, I didn’t know the name of it, I just knew I liked a certain kind of pattern which now I know is called Trellis. Knowing the name of it made it easier to find great and new Trellis inspiration…

Love it? Here is where to find some great pieces!

How would you like to welcome this pattern in your home?

Do you already have it? Share your fabric, wall paper or decorative store source below!

Thank you Erika! Hope you and your dear readers liked it!

A couple days ago I bought a roll of Kelly Wearstler trellis wallpaper for my shop to make china cabinet’s. I’m sure I’ll end keeping one ;) This is my inspiration:

and these sold but loved this knock off fabric that is from Etsy. It’s upholstery grade, the print is larger in proportion but, is really stunning in person. So, I ordered 6 yards for curtains in my dining room. but here are the chairs:

I did a trellis stencil in my hallway but, won’t be attempting stenciling again for a long time. It was SO hard. :) I admire people that brave stenciling!

I think it would be great in a big walk in closet. So classic and really brings a room in and makes it cozy and chic!
