PLAYLIST: Christmas Music Galore!

November 28th, 2011

Let it (officially) begin!

Welcome back! I for one am relieved that Thanksgiving has finally passed, so that now I don’t have to be embarrassed about listening to Christmas music…which I started 2 weeks ago when I bought the new Michael Bublé Christmas album. (So I blame him clearly. And Starbucks eggnog lattes.) Anyway, I got to thinking that I tend to listen to the same stuff year after year after year! So here are some ideas if you Christmas celebraters out there are looking for something new:

Christmas Cocktails | Christmas with The Rat Pack | Dean Martin
Harry Connick, Jr. | Michael Bublé | Tony Bennett
Yo-Yo Ma | Pink Martini | James Taylor
Bing Crosby | Ella Fitzgerald | Frank Sinatra
Nat King Cole | A Charlie Brown Christmas | Carpenters
Glee | Chicago* | She & Him

Not on the list: Christmas movie soundtracks. Elf and Love Actually are quite good!

Any suggestions for me??

Happy jingling!

(*OK so did you know that Chicago has THREE Christmas albums? I just find it funny that they’re not producing any new music except Christmas music!)

  1. You’re funny. You know I don’t own a single Christmas album? Not that I dislike the music, I’ve just usually subjected myself to whatever the radio gives me. I’m particularly intrigued by Zooey Deschanel’s take on X-Mas. Plus the Carpenters and James Taylor have got to be good!

I was kind of a scrooge about Christmas. I got into it a little more last year. I don’t own any Christmas albums, but there’s this Spanish one my parents would play when we were kids that would probably bring joyful tears if played now. That She and Him would probs be good.

  12. I feel the same way-no more guilt about Christmasy things! I am LOVING Michael Buble’s Christmas album, too.

  13. Alexa says:
