I am woman, hear me roar…
You may have caught Tobe Reed of Because It’s Awesome’s guest post here last month (that was indeed awesome!), and where I mentioned that she is a co-creator of a movement through typography and graphic art to empower women, the I Am Project. Having had my share of nasty frenemies in my (admittedly naive) life, I am particularly appreciative of her visual efforts to unite, celebrate and inspire women. I was thrilled when she emailed me to announce the I Am Project Etsy shop, where this much needed positivity can be had by all! Even better, 15% of their proceeds will go to organizations that support young women and the arts.

Such a great message. This has become a bigger focus in my life now that I’m in my 30′s. The more powerful we are, the more we can do and the more we can give to others. So important. Go Tobe!
I like the ‘Because I’m Awesome That’s Why’ print and ‘Diamond in the Rough’. All the prints are beautiful and I love the positive message and energy behind them.
At the risk of sounding sappy, I so needed this message right now. My favorite is the “Dear Younger Me”!
As a formal art education major (before I changed & got degree in interior design), I support anything that gives back to youth and the arts.
I think the Joy is Contagious one is so cute. I’d love to win that one.

I love this project and all the prints, but I’d love the one that says “I am loved” for my little girl, love to have that hanging in her room!

I already have the last one saved in my favorites on Etsy because it’s one I’ll definitely be purchasing. I’m the same as you Erika, always believing the best in people (cheers to our naivete!) They used to call me the devil’s advocate at my old job for that very reason! I’ll keep on doing it though, and that’s why this print spoke to me so much when I saw it. Well, that and the awesome bright color that would look adorable in a pretty gold frame!
