I want!
I love a good shag, but give me a Moroccan rug hand-woven in a Berber tribal tradition? Sign me up. An instant update to any room that says, “Hey I’m hip, maybe a bit groovy, but definitely smart – I know a good buy when I see one.” (Or at least this is the conversation in my head.) This fancy started for me when another rug I purchased online did not work out – mildew is not a scent I wish to bring into my home. It was nurtured with a trip to Palm Springs where I saw them ev-er-y-where at The Parker. Then Elizabeth Sullivan at Modern 24/7 posted about her fantastic rug, and that was it. Lucky for me, she directed me to Moroccan Maryam (she and her husband are the nicest ever). Et voilà! My rug is on its way!
In case you are not familiar with the wonders I speak of, let me introduce you to the very chic, very classic style of carpet that seems to me can complement just about any decor:

What do you think? On board?

I’ve been seeing these everywhere too and didn’t quite know it! A-ha, now I get it! They look so soft and inviting, I think I’d want to lay around on one rather than stick furniture on it.
I’m definitely on board. It’s such a beautiful rug that can compliment many different decor styles (which my fiance would appreciate considering I’m always wanting to change ish up). Hopefully you’ll share some pics when you get it?!
I have a new living room rug en route to my casa, and I can’t wait until it arrives!
I hope you feel better and un-deliriously sick soon!
I never wanted to embrace a rug more than this one! And thank God Elizabeth came to the rescue with her source. Unfortunately, I need to come up with a good excuse as to why I need a new rug so my husband doesn’t divorce me. I have a minor rug addiction.
